Facilities

The B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering is supported by purpose-built labs, studios and compute infrastructure on the SIU campus, together with industry-resident workspaces inside the operating enterprises of the Sri City Integrated Business City. Together they cover the full range of full-stack engineering, AI and machine learning, cloud and DevOps work that the program demands.

On-Campus Labs - Full Stack Web Development

Full Stack Engineering Lab

Full Stack Engineering Lab

Dedicated workstations and IDE setups for front-end, back-end and full-stack development work, configured for the modern web stack used by enterprise partners — Node.js, React, Next.js, Python, Flask/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB — with Git, GitHub, Postman, Chrome DevTools and the full set of development tools used in production engineering teams. The daily workspace of the Full Stack cohort across all four years.

Cloud & DevOps Studio

Cloud & DevOps Studio

Hands-on environment for cloud-native development. Includes AWS, GCP and Azure sandboxes with allocated credit for student projects; CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins; container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm; and observability stacks with Prometheus, Grafana and ArgoCD.

System Design & Architecture Studio

System Design & Architecture Studio

Collaboration space for system design exercises, architecture reviews and capstone planning sessions co-mentored by industry engineering managers. Equipped with large displays, whiteboards and dedicated review rooms for client and partner reviews.

On-Campus Labs - AI & Machine Learning

AI & ML Compute Lab

AI & ML Compute Lab

GPU workstations and shared training infrastructure for the AI/ML specialisation, with access to Google Colab, Kaggle and on-premises compute. Configured with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn, Jupyter and the full open-source ML stack. The workhorse facility for capstone training runs and weekly model development sessions.

Applied AI Studio

Applied AI Studio

Co-located workspace where AI student teams sit alongside industry mentors. Live projects, real datasets, weekly review sessions with AI leaders from operating partners — the closest the campus comes to an active AI engineering floor. Tuned for hands-on work with Hugging Face, LangChain, MLflow and modern LLM development workflows.

Computer Vision & Generative AI Lab

Computer Vision & Generative AI Lab

Imaging hardware, OCR rigs and dedicated infrastructure for vision and generative AI projects — tuned to the inspection and document-AI problems of enterprise partners. Equipped with OpenCV, YOLO, MONAI, SimpleITK and the toolchain used in computer vision and generative AI production work.

Software, Tools and AI Platforms

Tech & AI equips students with industry-standard tools across every phase of their work - and treats AI as a layer used daily, not a topic studied once.

AI, machine learning and generative AI

AI, machine learning and generative AI

PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn, Jupyter, TensorBoard. Hugging Face, spaCy and NLTK for NLP. OpenCV, YOLO, MONAI and SimpleITK for computer vision and medical imaging. Stable-Baselines3, OpenAI Gym and Optuna for reinforcement learning and AutoML. MLflow for experiment tracking. LangChain and Ollama for LLM application development. OpenAI, Claude and other API-accessed model providers under managed accounts.

Design, productivity and collaboration
